Dorset buttons

I sneaked last week into the local craft group to learn how to make Dorset buttons.

The story goes that a soldier in the 17th century came back from Europe with the knowledge he picked up from somewhere and set up his button business here in Dorset, back then the rings where made from slices of sheep horns. You can read more about it and see the instructions HERE.

Yes, I am now obsessed about them and will spend hours making kilos of buttons until my hands get RSI again.
