Garden Log, June

Uffs and puffs. There is no rest in the garden. And a constant war, if it's not against weeds or snails, it's against birds and mice.

But is ok. There are enough strawberries to share with a family of mice that live under them and enough raspberries to share with the magpies and other birds that manage to get into the cage to gobble them up.

I tried my hand at making gooseberry jam yesterday and it didn't turn up too bad. So I am now designing a label for the future jams and jellys. The crab apples are getting fat and red. That is going to be interesting...
