summer trip #3 Newcastle

And so we continue with this series of little weekend trips, delivering work and taking advantage of the good weather so we can stay a few days in the surroundings drawing and resuming the mission of trying out the fish & chips in every city, every village, every pub.

Good weather... well... not quite. And also we didn't realize it was a bank holiday so it was impossible to find accommodation in any of the villages of the Northumberland Coast. Boooo.

Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay at Newcastle, as always (thanks Mel! Charlie! Millhouse! everyone! ♥) and decided to spend a day in the historical city of Durham which is actually a very very beautiful medieval city.
