I've had in my hands for weeks a lovely manuscript that I just haven't been able to find the way I want to illustrate it. It happens sometimes when I want to do the most amazing illustrations and nothing comes up.

But yesterday I was reading the life of Hans Christian Andersen and saw his lovely papercuts that he produced in a kind of obsessive way.

So? well, this morning I thought of going that way and started experimenting with scissors and mountains of paper that I have everywhere in the studio. These are the first two attempts.
