Holzstich

It is now in my possession a wonderful little book illustrated from beginning to end with wood engravings (thank you Gretel, thank you very much, I love it).

This image is of a ceremony that starts today in Bavaria called Almabtrieb. The cattle is decorated with flowers on top of their heads and driven down the mountains to the valleys where the locals await them wearing dirndls and lederhosen and drinking beer in huge glasses.

And I'm not there to see that! Grrrr.
