Regency life

Having finally acquired an iphone and being able to enter the world of apps and all that is very exciting indeed. One of the first app I installed was the book-shelf thingy and discovered that I can download loads of classic books for free etc. What a fascinating modern age we live in.

But really, REALLY, it doesn't compared at all with the thrill of being around in Charing Cross or in the second hand books stalls under Waterloo bridge and find unexpected treasures. This jewell Mrs Hurst Dancing was waiting for me in one of those stalls yesterday. The sketchbooks of a lady in regency times. This girl was clearly gifted at drawing. And so witty. It makes me want to forget all my chores today and go out sketching. Again.
