in Bath

so, for your diaries, if you go to the BEAUTIFUL city of Bath in April you will see 5 of my Regency Love prints at Rostra & Rooksmoor Galleries. I am finishing this one, with my favourite declaration of love of any of the books. From Persuasion, Captain Wentworth writes to frail Miss Elliot "... I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you broke it, eight years and a half ago..."

2nd  28th APRIL 2010
Contemporary Printmakers 5

5th Anniversary exhibition celebrating original prints

Printmaking is a technically and physically demanding process which produces a wondrous variety of marks, textures and colours. It is a shame then, that as an art form it is sometimes unflatteringly cast aside as ‘just a print’.

As well as featuring established masters of printmaking such as Trevor Price & Susie Perring, there will be also be new talent Jazmin Velasco and local artists Clare Halifax and Lindsay McDonagh amongst others who between them will be showing off examples of etching, screen printing, monoprinting and drypoint.

Attractive, affordable and illuminating this exhibition of original handmade prints pays respect to a medium that originated well over a thousand years ago.
